So I've been testing two different brands. This all came from me trying to get everyone I know about how wonderful dry shampoo is and I have been recommending one that might be more expensive than the average person wants to pay. It's called Make Over Spray by KMS and I think it retails for probably around $16. I decided to try out another one I got from Sally's called Batiste Blush Dry shampoo which retails for about $7.
Here's what I discovered:
Make Over Spray lasts longer, comes out clearer and evaporates faster. So clearly Make Over Spray wins in my book!
But, the other one wasn't too bad. I was actually impressed. It smells good too. I think it would work better if you just used it on the second day and then washed your hair on the third. It comes out a little thicker too so you have to kind of pat it to blend it in.
The Winner!!!
Runner up** I have one more little secret for you! So now that the weather is warming up it's time to bring out those short sleeved and short.... legged.. clothing you've been hiding all winter. The only problem is, I'm willing to bet your arms and legs might be a little pasty looking. I know mine are! Well, my secret is... not tanning.. but, tanning lotions, like Jergen's natural glow (or whatever random off brand they have at the store). Here are some tricks to getting a "natural glow" with out looking orange. I actually had to learn this the hard way because the first time I used it I got really, really orange and it doesn't come off very easily.
So this is what you do:
*mix it in with your regular lotion so it's not so strong and it will last longer
*make sure to apply lotion to your ankles, knees and elbows first. You skin is dryer there and the pigments in the lotion will absorb faster there, so coat those really well before putting on the natural glow
Well, I think those are my only secrets for now!! Hope they helped!

Thanks for the tips! I'm totally going to try that dry shampoo- I've never even heard of it until now but it sounds like the perfect idea!
I had no idea what dry shampoo was! It sounds like I need it because my hair gets oily fast. Thanks for the tips!
Jenn, I can't believe I haven't told you about them. They would be used instead of the baby powder or corn starch. But, they are scented and made for hair. :)
Super cool, thanks for letting me know! I didn't even know KMS had such a product. I shall look for it next time I go to the beauty store. I guess I can put away the ol' cornstartch! ;) I used to use the Sally's stuff, but for a while they stopped carrying it. Also, I always turn out so orangey after using self-tanners, so thanks for the tips. You rock, my friend!
