A Fine Frenzy of Red!

It was monday afternoon at about 4:15pm, we were sitting in the office at work and I had mentioned how I was really getting sick of my hair color. I felt like it was starting to look drab and wash me out. I then mentioned how I love red hair and have been contemplating putting a little red in the mix with my normal carmel blondes and light browns. I said that I'd love to go all red because there are some goreous red heads out there like Isla Fisher and Alison Sudol from the band A Fine Frenzy. Everytime I see these women, I am so envious of their beautiful red hair! Now, both of these women have fairer skin then I do, so I also wondered if I could pull off red hair without looking like I'm of latin descent. So when it was suggested I go all over red, I was terrified at the thought but, felt ready for the change! So my friend Mandy said, lets do it now before you have a chance to change your mind. I said ok but, just don't make me look ugly! So we picked out an array of copper and red colors that would be flattering to my skin tone. We had the color mixed and put on my hair by 5:30pm. I had to be in Lehi ready to drive to salt lake by 7 so instead of staying at work and letting my hair process, we put it in a shower cap with the color and foils in it and I drove home while it processed. I looked like a freak! I am glad it was dark so that it wasn't too noticable. I just made sure not to make eye contact with anyone while I was driving. So, here it is... My new red hair. Now, everyone is saying it doesn't look that red but, to me it's so so red. I also included pics of my red inspirations.

And since I'm talking about A Fine Frenzy... I just want to post the lyrics of this beautiful song of hers I just discovered and can't stop listening too. It's called You Picked Me.

You Picked Me- A Fine Frenzy

One, two, three

Counting out the signs we see
The tall buildings
Fading in the distance
Only dots on a map
Four, five, six
The two of us a perfect fit
You're all mine, all mine

And all I can say
Is you blow me away

Like an apple on a tree
Hiding out behind the leaves
I was difficult to reach
But you picked me
Like a shell upon a beach
Just another pretty piece
I was difficult to see
But you picked me
Yeah you picked me

So softly
Rain against the windows
And the strong coffee
Warming up my fingers
In this fisherman's house
You got me
Searched the sand
And climbed the tree
And brought me back down

And all I can say
Is you blow me away

Like an apple on a tree
Hiding out behind the leaves
I was difficult to reach
But you picked me
Like a shell upon a beach
Just another pretty piece
I was difficult to see
But you picked me
Yeah you picked
I don't have a special someone in my life right now but, if I did I think this is how I would feel about him.

Hey girl! Ha ha, I'm glad you liked the pictures from X-mas. And no, I'm not wearing lipstick while in my pj's! It was some new lip gloss I got for X-mas. :) At least I didn't put it on my cheeks. ;) BTW, I must say again that I do love your red hair; it's just gorgeous darlin'! Oh, and about the foils... I went grocery shopping once with foils in my hair!
